BOARD OF DIRECTORS' TRAVEL

 

 

 

POLICY:

 

The Lake Stevens School District, in pursuit of its goals and objectives, will authorize necessary and desirable travel within the scope of RCW 28A.58.310.

 

Individual board members shall be entitled and encouraged to attend meetings, conferences, hearings, and workshops outside the school district which can assist them in meeting their responsibilities within approved budget limitations.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS' TRAVEL

 

 

 

PROCEDURES:

 

1.          Board members shall inform the Secretary of the Board of their attendance and travel plans for conferences and workshops.

 

2.          All out-of-state travel by board members must be approved in advance by the Board.

 

3.          Travel and attendance expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Policy No. 3050.
