POLICY:

 

The Superintendent may authorize a limited number of charitable fund raising campaigns that may be organized within the schools.

PROCEDURES:

 

1.          A charitable organization is defined as a nonprofit organization whose services extend beyond those in the organization.

 

2.          In addition to Christmas and Thanksgiving food drives, each building may assist annually in the sponsorship of two charitable fund raising campaigns.

 

3.          The United Way is authorized to promote a fund raising campaign with the staff but not with the students.

 

4.          Approval of all charitable drives shall be made by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
