When schools are not in use by students or for school
programs, they are usually available for community use. Community
members and groups can rent cafeterias, libraries, classrooms,
gyms and fields.
The amount charged for use of district facilities
depends on the time involved, the activity, the desired space
and the status of the group making the request. The rental schedule
makes some distinctions between for-profit or not-for-profit users
and whether participants in the activity live in the school district.
Youth groups that serve children who live in the Lake Stevens
School District area are charged only a small fee to cover overhead
and custodial costs.
The Performing Arts Center ~
The Performing Arts Center, located at Lake Stevens
High School, is often available for rental for plays, concerts
and other programs. Fees vary according to the number of hours
used and the type of event. The fee schedule is included in the
Facility Use Policy. To inquire about renting the Performing Arts
Center please contact Sue Ward at Lake Stevens High School
at 335-1516.
