Welcome to Lake Stevens Schools! We are excited to welcome you and your child to our school district. We are proud of our schools, teachers, students and facilities, and want to make this first step in your child's education a great experience.
The district's elementary schools hosted a Kindergarten Parent Information Night on March 10 at 6 p.m. Schools began accepting kindergarten registration packets on Tuesday, March 15.
When registering your student, please bring the following required documents:
- Completed Enrollment Packet
- Birth Certificate (official copy, not the keepsake provided by the hospital)
- Proof of Immunization
- Proof of Residence (includes lease or rental agreement, PUD bill or cable bill)
Ready, Set, Kindergarten! This booklet contains fun, simple and quick activities to do with your child throughout the months of June, July and August. Just five to 10 minutes each day of purposeful play will increase your child's readiness for success in kindergarten this fall.
|Due to overcrowding in Lake Stevens School District’s schools, new enrollment for the 2016-17 school year is limited to those students who live within the school district boundaries. This means that new non-resident variances for students—including kindergarten—will not be approved. This does not impact non-resident students who are already attending LSSD schools. (However, these students need to reapply annually, no later than June 1 of each year, in order to be granted admission.) Enrollment is still open at HomeLink, our homeschool program, for families who qualify.|
All schools will offer state-funded full-day kindergarten beginning in the 2016-17 school year. Half day programs will not be offered.
