Sunnycrest Kindergarten Orientation Scheduled

Families and kindergarten students who will be attending Sunnycrest Elementary School in the fall are invited to an Orientation/BBQ scheduled for Wednesday, August 27.  The orientation provides for students and parents/guardians to meet their teacher, visit their classroom, drop off school supplies, see where they are sitting, locate student bathrooms, meet members of the PTA, and practice boarding and exiting a bus. A family BBQ hosted by the principal, Mr. Tim Haines, will follow the orientation.  The Mt. Pilchuck campus site Kindergarten Open House/BBQ will run from 12:30-2:00pm and the Hillcrest Kindergarten Orientation/BBQ will run from 3-4:30 pm.  Families should expect to receive letters from Sunnycrest by August 15, which will include teacher assignments, AM/PM kindergarten designation and campus location.  Morning bus pick-up schedules are now on-line at www.lkstevens.wednet.edu and click on Transportation.

 

Cavelero Colts - Mid High School
Student Orientation Slated for August 21st

Cavelero Student Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 21.  Students are asked to enter through the bus turn-around area on the west side of the building to sign up for lockers, learn about the athletic programs offered, and make appointments with their counselors.  Yearbooks ($25), ASB cards ($20), PE shirts ($5), and Cavelero Spirit wear will also be available for purchase.  Students are encouraged to log on to Family Access to print schedules prior to orientation.  However, printed schedules will be available on site.  Parents are welcome to attend with their students.  There will be a computer lab set aside for parents to meet, sign up to volunteer, subscribe to our e-mail alert system for news and upcoming activities, and view an orientation presentation.  If you are a parent who would like to volunteer at the orientation, please contact the school secretary, Carmen Sibley, at Carmen_sibley@lkstevens.wednet.edu.

Incoming 8th graders, 8:00-11:30

• Last names beginning with A-Ha enter at 8:00 am
• Last names beginning with He-O enter at 9:00 am
• Last names beginning with P-Z enter at 10:00 am

Incoming 9th graders, 12:30-3:00

• Last names beginning with A-Ha enter at 12:30 pm  (see reverse)
• Last names beginning with He-O enter at 1:15 pm
• Last names beginning with P-Z enter at 2:00 pm
