Lake Stevens School District Partners with Advanced Academics
to Launch Innovative Online School

Students wanting to complete their high school degree in the Lake Stevens School District will now have a new educational option.  Offered in partnership with online learning leader Advanced Academics, Inc., Lake Stevens High School will offer more than 90 state-certified courses free to district students.

“The Lake Stevens Virtual High School program is a self-paced option for students who are struggling in a traditional high school environment,” said Robert Manahan, Lake Stevens School District Executive Director of Mid-Level Teaching and Learning.  “Students who enroll in the program will benefit from individualized attention, around-the-clock support, and a flexible class schedule.”

Open to qualifying district students in grades 9 – 12 and up to 20 years in age, the virtual learning program offers a flexible, high quality option for students looking for an alternative to the traditional school environment, including students who are behind on credits, drop-out students looking to complete their degree, or those needing a flexible schedule.  The program offers full and part-time options and is free of charge.

Lake Stevens Virtual High School will offer online classes that comply with all Washington graduation requirements.   Students earn their high school diploma in a personalized program featuring one-on-one access to state certified teachers, 24/7 student support and a full high school curriculum including electives and advanced placement courses.
