Community Service Opportunities 2014 - 2015

PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM: June 23rd -August 28th, 2015 
Contact Providence Volunteer Services to sign-up before January 31st at 425.261.4584 and they will send you the application and instructions.Their high school summer volunteer program is a great fit for students who are friendly, have a good way with people and are dedicated to volunteer service. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply. Here are the basic requirements: Commit to volunteer a minimum of 40 hours plus 20 hours at Camp Prov ( a day camp in Everett for children who have special needs). Currently a high school sophomore, junior or senior (must be 16 - 18 years old).

Want to earn up to 10 community service hours? Do a job shadow and learn about a future career. This is a pre-approved activity. Pick up a packet in the Career Center or talk to Ms. LaFortune for details.

Adopt A Stream Foundation needs volunteers to help plant native trees along Pilchuck Creek. There are two dates to choose from: February 7th and/or March 21st. Time is from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please call Marla at 425.316.8592 or you can email her at marlak@streamkeeper.org for further details.

Project Linus Make a Blanket Day is Saturday, February 21st, from noon - 5:00 PM @ Zion Lutheran Parish (3330 Union Avenue, Snohomish). Come help make blankets for children who have been through traumatic event. No experience is necessary. Contact Diane @ 425.252.4524 if you are interested in getting more details.

Plant Sale: Volunteers Wanted - Snohomish Conservation District will be holding their annual plant sale at the Evergreen Fair Grounds and needs volunteers to help setup in the days before and also during the event. LUDUS Youth Theatre Group is looking for actors/actresses and backstage help for their upcoming performance of Aladdin Junior. This is a fun way to get your community service hours done and entertain children at the same time!
