Community Service Opportunities 2014 - 2015

Relay for Life 2015 is coming! Saturday, May 30th, from 12:00 PM until Sunday, May 31st, at 9:00 AM. Come volunteer to help out or participate with a team to walk in support of all families affected by cancer. Attention Juniors! Come sign up to help with Class of 2016 parents and do concessions on June 5th & 6th here at LSHS stadium. Interested? Go see Ms. Lian in the career center. Hours will count for next year's community service requirement. Get a head start!

The ARC of Snohomish County is hosting a "Connections Carnival" for families with special needs children on Friday, June 5th, at Mt Pilchuck Elementary from 6:00 -8:00 PM. Are you interested in a career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math? Camp Invention might be for you! There are one week internships available June 22nd -26th at Skyline Elementary. You can get up to 40 hours of community service, learn about becoming an entrepreneur or inventor and gain leadership skills. Teen Leadership Council United Way of Snohomish County is looking for 15 dedicated teen volunteers for next school year. This is a great opportunity for students who are in Running Start, alternative ed programs or who are not involved in school leadership or just want to get more involved! Want to earn up to 10 community service hours? If you are a junior of senior then you can do a job shadow and learn about a future career. This is a pre-approved activity. Pick up a packet in the Career Center or talk to Ms. LaFortune for details.
