Welcome to Lake Stevens Schools! We are excited to welcome you and your child to our school district. We are proud of our students, staff members, schools and district facilities, and want to make this first step in your child's education a great experience.
Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year
Lake Stevens School District welcomes the Class of 2033! Please complete the enrollment packet (link below) in its entirety. The checklist on the first page is a helpful resource to walk you through the process. We need all of the listed information before we can enroll your child.
If you have questions, or need assistance, please contact Kristi Morrow at 425-335-1669 or via email at email@example.com.
Completed packets may be returned to our meal sites at Lake Stevens & North Lake Middle Schools, Mondays through Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11 through June 19. (Meals sites are closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.) You may also drop off completed packets any time at the Educational Services Center, 12309 22nd St NE, in the mounted drop box.
We begin kindergarten enrollment for the coming school year so we know how many students to plan for. While there is no deadline or due date to enroll your incoming kindergartener, it is helpful to have enrollments prior to June 19. We will work with your family if you need additional time. Please do not worry!
Depending on what happens this fall in relation to COVID-19, elementary schools will host welcome events to help your child become familiar with the school and staff. The first day of kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year is Tuesday, Sept. 8. The first day of school for first- through 12th-grade is Wednesday, Sept. 2. Kindergarten family connection meetings take place the first three days of school.
Enrollment packets are available in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.
2020-21 School Year
You will need the following items to enroll your child:
- Completed Enrollment Packet
- Birth Certificate (official copy, not the keepsake provided by the hospital)
- Proof of Immunization
- Proof of Residence (includes lease agreement, rental agreement or PUD bill)
If you are not sure which neighborhood school your student should attend, please reference the Boundary Maps.
Due to overcrowding in Lake Stevens School District's schools, new enrollment for the 2020-21 school year is limited to those students who live within the school district boundaries. This means that new non-resident variances for students—including kindergarten—will not be approved.
