Smarter Balanced Assessment
Washington students are tested regularly by the state to assess their progress and plan how to support their continued learning as they advance towards being career and college ready upon graduation. Students in grades three through eight and in grade 11 will take the Smarter Balanced Assessment in English/Language Arts (reading and writing) and in math. Additionally, students in grades five and eight will continue to take the Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) in science.
