Dear Lake Stevens School District middle school families,
You recently completed a survey asking you to choose either the Hybrid In-Person Learning Model or the Distance Learning Model for your children in grades 6-7. In total, 1,290 responses were recorded. Of those who responded, 76.3 percent chose Hybrid In-Person Learning and 23.7 percent chose Distance Learning. (Any duplicate entries were removed.) Schools employees are making contact with those families who did not complete the survey.
We are moving forward with the Hybrid In-Person Learning transition, and will welcome back our middle school students in grades six and seven on Monday, March 22.
Our middle school employees are in the process of dividing students into morning and afternoon cohorts following the same geographical areas used for elementary schools. The morning session will run from approximately 8:25 to 11 a.m. and the afternoon from 12:45-3:30 p.m. You will receive information next week about which cohort your student is in and a more specific schedule of all learning activities.
If you chose Hybrid In-Person Learning, more information will be shared with you from your child’s school soon. Families who wish to remain in Distance Learning will have that option, and will also be contacted regarding any changes to teachers and schedules.
Thank you
