School Improvement

The School Improvement Department is committed to developing the best instructional programs possible for each and every child in the Lake Stevens School District. We are composed of a number of smaller departments:

School Improvement provides innovative support and direction related to curriculum, instruction, assessments, educational technology, special programs and services, family engagement, health and nutrition, and learning for both students and staff.

Our work is guided by the Lake Stevens School District’s Foundation for Excellence, embedded within the framework of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

Believing that instruction is the most important factor in student learning, we strive to create professional learning experiences for our teachers and administrators that are embedded in their work, ongoing, and collaborative that will facilitate their growth and development as professionals. Improved instruction will lead to improved student learning.
