Student schedules and teacher placement
We know that students and families are excited to see their class schedules and teacher placements. Here's when that information will be available:
- Middle school schedules will be available in Skyward beginning Saturday, Aug. 24.
- Cavelero Mid High School & Lake Stevens High School schedules will be available in Skyward beginning Friday, Aug. 23.
- Elementary teacher placements will be available in Skyward beginning Wednesday, Aug. 28. This allows our elementary school principals and office professionals time to finalize student placement following the Ready for Kindergarten event. While we make every effort to finalize teacher placements for all elementary grade levels, we have students enrolling throughout the summer and at the start of the school year. Some adjustments may be necessary in order to balance classroom enrollments. While we know this isn't ideal, we appreciate your understanding and patience.

Communication
We use a wide variety of communication tools to engage with our families. (Individual schools and teachers may also use other communication channels that are not reflected here.) Our primary modes of communication are email, text message and mobile app notifications through Blackboard.
Enrollment and registration
Lake Stevens School District educates students from preschool to 12th-grade (and sometimes beyond) in a variety of programs aimed at making them lifetime learners. To register your child with the district, download and complete the enrollment packet and return it to your neighborhood school or the district office.
Food & Nutrition
We provide a complete breakfast and lunch program for our students. Learn more about menus, meal prices, free and reduced meals and special dietary needs.
Inclement weather
When winter weather hits, our top priority is the safety of students and staff. Our district’s geography is taken into account when the decision is made. One part of our area may be clear while other areas are struggling with snow or ice. Here’s how the decision to close or delay school is made, and how we’ll notify you of schedule changes.
Kindergarten
Welcome to Lake Stevens Schools! We are excited to welcome you and your child to our school district. We are proud of our students, staff members, schools and district facilities, and want to make this first step in your child's education a great experience. Visit our kindergarten page to learn more.
Safety & Security
Safety is the number one priority in Lake Stevens School District. We are committed to establishing a learning environment that promotes student and employee safety throughout our district. In partnership with our local police and fire departments, we have a comprehensive safety plan to support our emergency preparedness, response and recovery.
Transportation
Bus transportation is available for students who reside in our district. School bus routes will be available in e-Link beginning Monday, Aug. 28. Preschool, kindergarten routes and routes for newly-enrolled students will be available prior to the start of school. If you have trouble, or need assistance, please call the Transportation Department at 425-335-1508.
