Lake Stevens students earn five national top 10 finishes at Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship

Nine Lake Stevens School District Career and Technical Education (CTE) students recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to compete in the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship, representing Washington after an outstanding performance at the state level.More than 170 schools and colleges participated in the Washington state competition, with students advancing through two rigorous rounds of qualifying. Lake Stevens students earned nine of the state's 12 championship titles, qualifying each of them to compete against the nation's top Microsoft Office Specialist students.

The national championship, held June 14-18, gave students the opportunity to compete while also participating in leadership workshops, networking with industry professionals, and connecting with high-achieving students from across the country.

  • Ronan Rice – 9th Place, Word 365

Microsoft Office Specialist certifications validate students' proficiency in industry-standard software while strengthening the digital and workplace skills employers value. Through Career and Technical Education, students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for college, careers and future opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.
