    Subject(s): Special Education Math
I graduated with degrees in Marketing and Psychology in 2007. After graduation I began working in Sales, Marketing and Technical Support for Verizon Wireless for eight years until I went back to school to get my teaching certificate in Math and Special Education from City University of Seattle in 2016. I enjoyed my full year teaching apprenticeship at Cavelero Mid High right here in Lake Stevens. My wife, Lyla Hippie, is also a Life Skills teacher in the special education department at LSHS.

I am excited to begin this new era of my life and to be working with your children to build math skills that they can carry with them long after graduation. I will be teaching Resource Math 1, Resource Algebra 1 and co-teaching Algebra 2 with Mrs. VanHooser.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my wife and three-year-old daughter. I am a huge sports fan and love playing fantasy football. I play hockey and softball in my free time as well.

We use Big Ideas Online math curriculum that students will have on their Chromebooks and I plan on using Google Classroom for other assignments and information as well. Contacting me through email is usually the best way to get a hold of me since I work in different classrooms throughout the day. I look forward to getting to know your student and strengthening their math skills throughout the year.
