My name is Kelly Snow, and this is my 20th year in education and the Lake Stevens School District. I have taught 1st, 1/ 2 split, 5th and now 2nd grade.
I grew up in Spokane WA and graduated from Cheney High School. I hold a BA in Business Management and Human Resources from Washington State University (GO COUGs!) and a Master in Teaching (MIT) from Whitworth University.
I love all things snow; snowflakes, snowmen, Snow White… But most of all I love spending as much time as possible with my my daughter, nieces, nephews, and my dog Bella. In my freetime I love to read, work in the garden and quilt.
My vision is that students will feel safe and confident in my classroom. They will have and maintain a respect for themselves and others, and will learn to work as a member of a cohesive group. Students will have a sense of self worth and develop positive self-esteem. Students will discover who they are and have a goal of where they want to be in the future. Students will be academically successful at their individual level.
Above all, students will be loved and cherished for their own uniqueness.
