I graduated with from Western WA University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Child Development in 2005. I then received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle Pacific University in 2009, and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2013. I taught middle school science and english at Brier Terrace Middle School and Cedar Valley School in Edmonds, then moved to 10th Street School in the Marysville district, where I taught science for 10 years. I am excited to be in Lake Stevens!
When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and two children. I enjoy hiking, being on the water, reading a good book, and traveling.
Each person enters the classroom with unique gifts and talents. Since we are all different, we have much to learn from one another. I expect my students to be contributing members of the classroom community and to treat one another with kindness and respect. I am excited to work with them and support them as they grow throughout the year.
