“There is a difference between not knowing and not knowing yet.” (Growth Mindset quote)
It is my joy and privilege to encourage third-graders to grow and transition from primary to intermediate this year! I believe every mistake we make is progress. So we will move forward this year with permission to make mistakes and learn from them.
A bit about me...I have five children all together with three who are launched out on their own and one close to it. My youngest daughter attends Mt. Pilchuck. I have been married for 28 years to my best friend and love living in the Pacific Northwest. I was born, raised and educated in Minnesota, lived in Oregon 15 years, California two years, Idaho two years and Minnesota another six years. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education, early childhood and kindergarten and I love working with children!
I taught music and PE at Mt. Pilchuck for two years and am looking forward to teaching third-grade this year. (It was in third-grade that I first wanted to be a teacher!) Over the past years I have taught pre-kindergarten, assisted full time in fifth-/sixth-grade and substitute taught for about five years.
I’m thankful to be here in Lake Stevens and I look forward to this learning adventure with your third-grader this year!
