Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, My name is Leslie Waldorf. I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I lived in Colorado for a very long time prior to moving to Washington. This is my 16th year of teaching. I was a substitute teacher for 4 years prior to teaching. Before that I was a super involved volunteer/ stay-at-home mom. I'm pretty organized and sort of a clean freak, so for 4 years I took a break from teaching and I owned a cleaning and organizing business. It was so busy, but I just missed teaching so much. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction/ brain research. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have 3 grown children and 1 grand daughter whom we absolutely adore!! I have taught in New Mexico, Colorado, and now in Washington. I have taught grades K-5 and been a Librarian. I have been a writing trainer, a building math trainer, was in charge of student teachers, taught Love and Logic classes, been involved in the RtI team, child study team, as well as several other leadership roles. I love teaching and motivating students to learn. I ride dirt bikes, paddle board, and try to stay as active as I can. In my free time I love to camp and spend any time I can with my family. In the winter I knit a lot! One day I'd love to write a book. I live in Lake Stevens, so I am beyond excited to be teaching in this community which I love so much.
