Notice of Meeting to Adopt 2023-24 Budget and Conduct Public Hearing

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060, that the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Lake Stevens School District No. 4, Snohomish County, Washington (the “District”) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, commencing at 6:30 pm in the Education Service Center Board Room, located at 12309 22nd St. NE, Lake Stevens, Washington and virtually via Zoom webinar. The Zoom access numbers/links for the Board meeting will be posted on the District website. The meeting is called for the purpose of fixing and adopting the budget of the District for the ensuing 2023-24 fiscal year. Prior to adoption of the 2023-24 budget, the Board will hold a hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the 2023-24 budget. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for or against any part of the 2023-24 budget, the four year budget plan, or any proposed changes to uses of enrichment funding under RCW 28A.505.240 Educational Programs and Operations Levy. Upon conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund contained in the 2023-24 budget and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2023-24 budget, the four year budget plan summary, and the four-year enrollment projection. 2023-24 budget information is available on the District website or may be obtained by contacting the Secretary of the Board at (425) 335-1500.

Each year every school district is required to produce an annual Budget, formally called the F-195. The Citizen's Budget is a representation of the F-195 in terms of graphs and narratives.
