Indian Education

“ʔi, čəxʷ syaʔyaʔ” means “hello friend” in the Lushootseed language. The Lake Stevens School District serves more than 250 Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native students from around the country. Our Indigenous Education Program is designed to assist Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native students in grades K-12. Our role is to provide a safe place for Indigenous students to learn and grow while honoring their rich cultural heritage.

The Lake Stevens Indigenous Education Program has a Family Advisory Board and Title VI Liaison to support its work.
