Dear Lake Stevens School District elementary families,
I hope you are healthy and safe, and taking care of each other during this challenging time. As you know, Governor Jay Inslee, in consultation with State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal, made the decision to continue the emergency closure of school buildings for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. While this was disappointing news, I believe it was the right decision for the health and safety of all.
Guidance and directives from our state and national education partners have resulted in continued revisions of our plans and communication during the emergency school closure. We know that these changes have been confusing and frustrating. Thank you for your patience and flexibility thus far.
Please review the letters below for detailed information about how our district’s learning focus is changing for the remainder of the school year, and what that means for your child and your family.
