Lake Stevens School District School Board announces open director position

The Lake Stevens School District Board of Directors announces an open director position in Director District 4. This is a replacement term to fill the vacancy of Director Kevin Plemel who passed away in September 2020.

Interested, qualified candidates residing in Director District 4 should submit, in writing, a statement of their desire to serve on the Board. Letters of interest will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m.

Application materials are public information and are available to the general public. Additionally, any interviews the Board holds for candidates will be held in an open public setting. The Board will determine the procedure to be used for screening and interviewing qualified applicants. The person selected for the replacement term will serve throughout 2021, and has the option to run for a four-year term in the November 2021 election. 


Director District 4
Director District 4 starts at the intersection of SR9 and 7th Pl. East on 7th Pl. to Vernon Rd. Northerly on Vernon Rd. to block extension 0.10 miles, more or less, east of 95th Ave. SE on block extension to Lake Stevens. Southeasterly through Lake Stevens to Minckler Bridge and Lake Stevens Rd. South on Lake Stevens Rd. to Machias Cutoff. East on Machias Cutoff to school district boundary. Clockwise following school district boundary to the southern crossing of 103rd Ave. N on 103rd Ave. to Lake Stevens Rd. Northeast on Lake Stevens Rd. to 20th St. West on 20th St. to SR 9. North on SR 9 to the point of the beginning.
