Lake Stevens High School unveils new brand, identity honoring tradition and building a strong foundation for the future
Lake Stevens High School (LSHS) has a new brand! Modernizing and expanding LSHS provides a unique opportunity to examine the school’s rich history and to revitalize what it means to be a Viking.
Beginning in the spring of 2019, a group of LSHS stakeholders—made up of current and former staff members, students, and community members—dedicated time to consider the high school’s current culture and brand. Their goal was to honor the past while laying a strong foundation for the future.
The high school’s brand, including its logos, needed to respect the more than 110 years of history and tradition while representing what it means to be a modern-day Viking. It also needed to be cohesive, clear, and consistent.
The new logos, which were designed by Jostens, represent our students and their work and dedication to academics, the arts, and athletics. Lake Stevens Vikings—our students, staff members, alumni and community—are Relentless! To honor the Norwegian Viking history in our community, you’ll also see the word Nådeløse, which is the Norwegian word for relentless.
The new logos will be featured throughout the campus and will be included on printed and electronic materials, uniforms, and Viking merchandise.
We invite you to take a few minutes to learn more about the history of LSHS and how far we have come over the last 110 years. It’s a great day to be a Viking!
